Your trip includes the boat, fuel, all fishing gear, tackle, and guidance. We run top-of-the-line Lund boats powered by Mercury motors and use high-quality gear, including JT Outdoor Products rods.

Yes. All guests are responsible for purchasing a valid fishing license prior to the trip. Licenses can be purchased through the Minnesota DNR website:

You can also purchase one at any local bait shop.

Dress for the weather and bring layers, sunscreen, sunglasses, snacks/drinks, and a cooler if you’d like to take fish home (where regulations allow). A raincoat never hurts to have just in case. Keep an eye on the forecast—we’ll be in touch prior to your trip as well.

Not at all. We welcome all experience levels—from first-time anglers to seasoned fishermen. Trips are tailored to your comfort level.

Absolutely. If you want to learn, we’ll cover techniques, fish behavior, and even how to use modern electronics. If you’d rather relax, we can keep it simple and hands-off.

Target species vary by season and conditions but commonly include walleye, bass, pike, and panfish.

We use whatever is most effective for the conditions. Live bait is provided by one of the best bait shops in the area, Fred’s Bait Shop in Deer River, MN. If you have a preference, just let us know.

Safety always comes first. If conditions are unsafe, we’ll reschedule your trip or discuss other options.

Yes! We enjoy taking kids out and creating a fun, positive experience for them.

Trips are designed for 2–3 guests to ensure a comfortable and productive experience on the water. Contact us for larger groups or special arrangements.

Yes! We clean all fish you keep free of charge and package them for you to take home.
